As any Captain, Chief Officer, Chief Stewardess or Purser knows, putting together an itinerary for a charter client is a time-consuming business. The trip you did last year is now out of date – trends have changed and ‘that’ restaurant or club or beach bar is no longer the place to be or, worse, it no longer exists! With my already existing library and love of researching beautiful and interesting places, from the best beach bars to hidden coves to art galleries and exhibitions or golf courses, I will take all of that planning off your hands.

Whether you are looking to put together a new library of sample itineraries, updating an existing one or a bespoke itinerary for a particular charter, I am happy to help.

I do my utmost to make sure that each itinerary is ‘doable’ in terms of distances, rules and regulations and practicalities and, if unsure, I will check with any number of professional and experienced Captain friends that my proposals are reasonable. I am very aware that any itinerary must be subject to a change of plan, whether it be because of weather or sea conditions, government rule’s changing or, in the case of sample itineraries, different possibilities depending on the size of vessel (anchorages, ports, marinas etc). For this reason, each of my itineraries carries the following proviso:

“Please note that this is a suggested itinerary only and can be adapted as required. Any itinerary is subject to change due to vagaries of weather, sea conditions, changes in local rules and regulations etc and the Captain will have the final say, in accordance with his or her legal obligations to run a safe vessel for all concerned and at all times”.

In any event, rest assured that all the information given will have been thoroughly researched, checked and as up to date as possible.
